Hannover have demanded a statement from the German FA (DFB) over the use of VAR after they had what appeared to be an equaliser at home to RB Leipzig ruled out.
On Saturday, Hannover had a goal that would have made it 3-3 chalked off for a narrow offside, but pointed out that a Robert Lewandowski goal for Bayern Munich against Borussia Dortmund from a similar position was not reviewed.
Niclas Fullkrug put the ball past keeper Peter Gulasci but referee Guido Winkmann and VAR official Robert Kampka ruled it out and Hannover lost 3-2 — only for a similar Lewadowski goal to be given hours later.

“First this, then that. That’s just not possible and is a great nuisance,” kicker quoted Hannover sporting director Horst Heldt as saying.
“As a club, we are often in a position where they [the DFB] demand a statement from us. Now we have turned things around and demand one from them.”
Coach Andre Breitenreiter added: “Why does the VAR intervene when it’s not a clear situation? We were briefed differently.”
