Original [12/12/18, 12:31 pm]: The Expansion Draft is over, but FC Cincinnati aren’t slowing down.

According to multiple sources, Cincinnati have agreed to sign Polish goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tyton. The 31-year-old has been without a club since his contract with Spanish side Deportivo La Coruña expired last summer. The move is expected to be announced this week.

The sources said that Tyton is expected to be Cincinnati’s No. 1, but that Spencer Richey, who was acquired on Sunday in a trade with Vancouver after spending 2018 on loan to FCC, will have every opportunity to compete for the starting job in preseason.

Tyton spent the 2016-17 and 2017-18 European seasons as the backup at Deportivo. He made 15 total La Liga appearances in his two campaigns with the club, who were relegated to La Liga 2 following last season. He was the starter for La Liga side Elche in his lone season with the club in 2014-15 and for German Bundesliga club Stuttgart in the 2015-16 campaign. Prior to moving to Elche, he spent seven seasons in the Dutch Eredivisie, the first four and a half with Roda JC and the final two and a half with PSV Eindhoven.

He has 14 career caps for the Polish national team and made three appearances for the country when they hosted the 2012 UEFA European Championships.
