Belgium took the lead when Thorgan Hazard latched onto a defensive flop and opened the score sheet in the 1st minute.

Hazard braced in the 16th minute from outside the box to double the lead for the visitors. Ricardo Rodriguez cut the deficit for the home side, from the spot before Haris Seferović set the leveler on the half-hour mark.

On the edge of the 1st half, Seferović completed the comeback with a powerful shot. Eventhough Nico Elvedi’s header on the hour-mark was enough to reserve a spot for Switzerland in the finals, it was Seferović’s hattrick that put the game to bed for the home side.
