The Super Cup is an annual showpiece contested by the reigning champions of the two main European club competitions – the Champions League and the Europa League.
Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1 to lift Europe’s top prize last season while Atletico Madrid got the better of Marseille to claim the Europa League title.
The is the 43rd edition of the event but it marks the first time that both sides have come from the same city.
When is the 2018 UEFA Super Cup?
Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid kicks off at 8pm BST on Wednesday, August 15.
The match takes place at Lillekula Stadium in Tallinn, Estonia, and will be refereed by Szymon Marciniak.
Real and Atletico have faced one another nine times in UEFA fixtures, with Los Blancos winning five times and Atleti winning twice.
