Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi concedes he has ambitions of returning to Serie A.
Barcelona and Liverpool have been linked with the Italian, but he is trying to keep his feet on the ground.
“When I hear that the big clubs are interested in me, it’s an honour, I’m proud. But my focus is on day to day work. Regarding the future, we have to talk with the owner and with the club, because I want to compete in the best possible way and understand the plan,” De Zerbi told Sky Sports.
“In that case, it is no problem to be with a big team. In my career, I would like to fight for the Premier League, Serie A, the Bundesliga, La Liga and the Champions League. But sometimes you have to wait.
“I love my country, I love Italian football. One of my goals is to return to my home country, but I don’t know when that time will be. I feel good in the Premier League and I have Brighton and all the other managers in the Premier League to thank for that.”
