Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has undergone successful back surgery.
The Germany international suffered a herniated disc while on international duty last month.
Barca confirmed today: “First team player Marc Ter Stegen underwent satisfactory surgery for his lumbar problems. This intervention was carried out by Dr. Amélie Léglise under the supervision of the Club’s Medical Services, at the Sports Clinic Bordeaux Merignac.
“He is recovering and his evolution will determine its availability.”
Ter Stegen is expected to miss four months.
