Barcelona member and economist Marc Ciria says the club’s best chance of ending it’s financial crisis is the formation of the European Super League.
Ciria is CEO of Diagonal Asset Management and sees Barca’s financial problems continuing.
He told Radio Marca: “I am sad to lose to Madrid but there is a league and we will compete.
“The batch of young players is an intangible that can help economically and they are also our hope.
“The club’s problem is not the debt but the inability to meet its financial obligations.
“We must reduce spending drastically and generate more than one billion in income to meet financial obligations.”
He added, “Barça’s economic salvation involves creating the Super League,” the economist is “sure” that the competition will start in the 24/25 season.
