Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists they won’t negotiate Bernardo Silva‘s sale through the media.
The midfielder remains a target for Barcelona.
But Guardiola said today: “I want to clarify because I know the representatives of Barcelona. Since my first day I don’t want players who don’t want to be here. I want to work with guys who want to stay and work with us.
“If someone wants him, they will fly and come here to talk to the our sporting director. In any case, we have not received a suitable offer.”
Guardiola further added: “For us, buying a player is always £10-15m more expensive than other clubs, just because we are Manchester City. If someone wants one of our important players, they must first of all make an offer, but that didn’t happen.”
