Real Madrid have trumped Barcelona to the signing of Galatasaray midfielder Arda Guler.
That’s according to reports in Turkey, where it’s claimed Real have struck terms with Gala over a fee of €20m, says Marca.
The news comes as Barca president Joan Laporta openly declared their interest this week and confirmed sporting director Deco had been in Istanbul for talks with Guler and his family.
Guler’s contract carries a €17.5m buyout clause, but Real have openly bid more to burn off all competition.
Discussions are now based around whether the teen will immediately join Real or spend next season on-loan with Gala.
