Former Barcelona presidential candidate Victor Font has taken aim at the running of the club.
Font laments how Lionel Messi chose to join Inter Miami over returning to Barca.
He told Okdiario, “That it is gone is the biggest mistake that has been made, this legislature will be marked by this. “The concern comes to me because the economic situation is very worrying. We have been in two and a half years with a billion losses in ordinary business: 500 in the first closing, 169 last year and this will be 250 in operating losses… The salary mass is even 30 million higher than with (Josep) Bartomeu.
“There are structural losses that have forced us to sell equity: the levers. If we have sold the estate, how will we return that money? With numbers, the club is worse today than it was two and a half years ago, this is data. We have more expenses, more losses, less equity and more debt. Economically, Laporta is doing it the same or worse than Bartomeu.”
