Barcelona coach Xavi says his contract renewal can wait.
It’s been suggested Barca have offered Xavi a new contract extension in recent days.
But he says: “I’m very happy that they value the work (I am doing). There are conversations with the president (Joan Laporta), with (directors) Mateu (Alemany) and Jordi (Cruyff).
“There is confidence and there will be no problems to understand each other.”
While they are already talking about extending his contract, he added: “I think we have to focus first on winning this league and then talk about a possible renewal that would give us a lot of stability.”
On the absences of Toni Kroos and Vini Jr, he added: “They will play on Tuesday. They couldn’t play today because they both had small issues. They trained separately today but tomorrow they’ll train as normal and be fine for Tuesday.”
