RB Leipzig winger Dani Olmo says Spain’s players were happy to give coach Luis de la Fuente a winning debut.
Spain thumped Norway 3-0 in their opening Euro qualifier.
Former Barcelona youth teamer Olmo said: “He is a direct coach, who is always face to face. He knows what he wants, he is offensive, he wants to attack and he has things clear.
“He very clearly conveys to us the idea of him and it is only up to us to do as he tells us. He has done well for us, because in the Under-21s we won the title and in the Olympic Games, the silver medal. At the absolute level we want to continue winning.
“I have been lucky to be able to work with him, and with many players who are now here, in the Under-21s. We were able to win the European Championship and later we played the Olympic Games. He now coaches the top team.
“Nobody is going to give us anything, he always tells us so; although he knows us better, he demands us like everyone else. This requirement will always be good for the group.”
