Former Holland star Rafael van der Vaart says PSV Eindhoven whizkid Xavi Simons can become the best player in the world.
The former Barcelona and PSG starlet has been outstanding in his first season with PSV, which has seen him earn his first caps with Holland.
Van der Vaart is convinced they’re watching the emergence of something special.
He told Voetbal International: “When I look at his potential I see that he can become the best in the world, absolutely.
“Believe me, in a few years we’ll all be saying: ‘It’s good to be able to use this kid for the national team’.”
Simons has a deal with PSV to 2027.
