Barcelona coach Xavi has rejected criticism of Gavi.
There’s been claims Gavi complains too much on the pitch and is too physical in the tackle.
But ahead of their Copa tie with Real Sociedad, Xavi said: “It seems silly to me. Gavi puts passion, courage into it. Gavi to be calm. For me it is the other way around. They foul him a lot and they are not whistled.
“When he goes to the National Team he is wonderful and when he is at Barça he crosses the line. In the National Team he is an example of class and if he is at Barça he is tough.
“Let him put the same passion and even more. And don’t stop because he doesn’t have a ceiling.”
