De Jong agents fire double warning at Barcelona as Man Utd forced to wait

Agents for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong have told management he doesn’t want to leave.

Manchester United and Barca have agreed terms over a fee for the midfielder. But De Jong doesn’t want to leave and this was relayed to management via his agents.

The Dutchman remains unhappy with Barca refusing to pay back the deferred wages he had agreed to for the past two seasons.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports: “Frenkie De Jong’s agents Ali Dursun and Hasan Cetinkaya have informed Barcelona that Frenkie has still no intention to leave – also that Frenkie and agents are not accepting any salary reduction, or talks related to that.

“Man United are also informed – deal now stalling.”
