Barcelona kicked Manchester United into action over Bruno Fernandes‘ contract situation.
The Portugal midfielder has penned an improved deal in the last 24 hours to 2026.
The Athletic reports Barca were in contact with Fernandes’ minders this season about a summer move to the Nou Camp.
Aware of Barca’s attempts, United stepped up negotiations over the past week and secured his signature on Friday.
The decision to commit to a new deal is expected to end Barca’s pursuit.
