Barcelona are willing to go higher to convince Manchester City to part with Ferran Torres.
Torres, reports Mundo Deportivo, is Barca’s top target for the January market and negotiations are continuing between the two clubs.
Barca directors Ferran Reverter and Mateu Alemany were in Manchester a fortnight ago to deliver a €40m offer to City for the Spain international, which was promptly turned down. Instead, City are seeking €80m to sell.
Barca deem that valuation far too steep, though will return with a new proposal of €45m in the coming days.
For his part, while he won’t agitate for a move away, Torres is willing to leave City for Barca next month.
