Man City fullback Walker hoping Conte a success with Spurs

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker says he hopes Antonio Conte proves a success for Tottenham.

Walker is a former Spurs player.

He said at today’s Champions League presser: “I think he’s a great manager [Conte]. Obviously, the pedigree of the players and the clubs he has managed, hopefully it is going to be a successful appointment for them. It’s been tough for years for them with managers coming and going. I wish them all the best.”

Walker spoke about his former City team mate Sergio Aguero who suffered chest pains while playing for Barcelona on Saturday:

“It’s a shock when it happens to anyone. I played with Christian [Eriksen] and it happened to him at the Euros. You think about them and the family. I’m glad Aguero is OK. With these things you have to take certain precautions.

“We’re all human in more ways than one. We make mistakes as every human does. And we put in good performances. Health is key. As long as Serg is OK. I know Christian is fine, I spoke to him two weeks ago. Hopefully we don’t see more of this.”
