Agents for Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman have hit out at president Joan Laporta.
The Dutchman still has one year left on his contract at the Camp Nou but it appears that Barcelona haven’t made up their mind over whether they want him to stay.
“Imagine: I want to marry you, but I have doubts,” began a tweet by Wasserman Netherlands, the agency that represents Koeman.
“Give me two weeks to find a better partner… If I can’t find the right person, we will get married anyway!”
On Friday, Laporta said that Koeman had been taken to hospital after suffering from a health scare on Thursday. The coach suffered a heart attack in May 2020.
“The words of FC Barcelona‘s president Joan Laporta during a press conference today about Ronald Koeman‘s anxiety attack [on Thursday] are overdone,” Wasserman Netherlands said in another tweet.
“Ronald has been to the hospital for blood pressure checks, a routine check for people with his medical history.”
“Don’t believe everything you hear. I am healthy, that’s all that matters in life!” Koeman added in a post on Instagram.
