France Football have a big transfer special in their magazine this week and several Ligue 1 clubs get a special section each.
One of those is Lille who had an absolutely disastrous season last time around. With calamity under Marcelo Bielsa, that Leeds United fans probably wouldn’t want to know too much about, the club were fighting at the wrong end of the table.
Rather than pushing for Europe, Lille had to battle desperately to save themselves from relegation and there was a financial shadow hanging over everything.
Hopefully, everything can be sorted out this summer, but that’s going to involve selling players and hoping others can be brought in for bargain prices. One sale candidate is Yves Bissouma, and France Football say Everton and Tottenham both have the player on their summer transfer lists.
There are other clubs said to be interested in the 21 year old midfielder, but it’s only Everton and Tottenham who get a mention from France Football.
Bissouma played 28 times for Lille last season and has a contract lasting until June 2021.
