Former Denmark striker Mads Junker is delighted for Martin Braithwaite over his sudden Barcelona goalscoring form.
The January signing from Leganes is beginning to prove his worth in front of goal for Barca.
Junker is delighted for his countryman, telling Sport: “His latest performances have shown that he deserves to spend more time on the field. It is crazy to see him play for Barcelona because he is not the most gifted player, but we have great respect for his dedication and availability to work hard.
“He’s fought to continue at Barça all season when it seemed he was on the verge of being transferred. I don’t think Barcelona will sell him in January, even if it needs money.
“He must keep fighting on instinct. He knows that he is facing a unique opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world and that this opportunity will not be repeated.”
