Gremio coach Renato Portaluppi is backing Arthur Melo is great success with Juventus.
Arthur’s move from Barcelona was confirmed yesterday as part of a swap which will see Juve midfielder Miralem Pjanic go in the opposite direction.
Portaluppi coached Arthur at Gremio and told TMW: “Arthur is a craque, you will see … Few can command the midfield like him, both in the defensive and in the offensive aspect. I do not like to make comparisons, but Juventus has made a great, great market shot by buying him from Barcelona.
“Arthur is a very flexible midfielder, with a lot of quality with the ball between his feet. He is a dribbler who likes to organise the game, get the ball to restart his team and bring it to the opponent’s area.
“In my opinion we are talking about a complete footballer capable of jousting with excellent results in every position of the midfield.”
