Leicester fullback Pereira eyeing big move in the future

Leicester City full back Ricardo Pereira admits that he would like to move to a big club.

The Portuguese has been in excellent form this season, helping the team to a position in the top four.

And the 26-year-old is being linked with the likes of Barcelona, Juventus, and PSG.

“It shows you are doing the right thing,” Ricardo told French TV show Telefoot when asked about interest from such clubs.

“I have not had any direct contact but it’s nice to know. It’s a good thing, as I said. I’ll continue to work and continue my education.

“This time at Leicester is going well. I’m playing and I’m continuing my progression. But every player wants to play in the biggest competitions against the best clubs. I think I’m ready for that.

“But it’s going well at Leicester, we are having a great season and could be playing in the Champions League next season, that’s what we think.

“After, later, we will have time to look at these options.”

“It makes me laugh when I see the pictures on the internet,” Ricardo went on to say.

“And it makes me happy to know that I have fans here, but there’s nothing more than that.”

“Our objective before the season was that it would be successful to enter the top six,” he also said.

“Now we are in third, we made it to the semi-finals of the League Cup, we are in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. Everything’s going well.

“We are third and it’s higher than our objective. We’ll try to keep our place or do even better.”
