Barcelona have entered talks with Atletico Madrid over a deal for Antoine Griezmann.
Sport says the two clubs are attempting to find an agreement over a fee for the France attacker.
While Atletico are insisting Griezmann only leave for his €120m buyout clause, it’s suggested they’re prepared to compromise over the form of the sale.
Instead of paying the clause, Barca could instead meet the same price as a transfer fee – which would allow them to stagger the payments due rather than having to deposit the entire €120m in one shot.
The big boost for Griezmann is that Barca have returned to negotiations after appearing to have dropped their interest just a week ago.
