“I cannot rule out Ligue 1”

Mourinho, 56, has been on various different TV channels since his sacking and has now admitted that he is looking for a return to club management. The Portugese manager has won the Champions League twice, with Porto in 2004 and Inter in 2010, as well as league titles with a team in every league he has managed: The Portugese League with Porto, The Premier League with Chelsea, Serie A with Inter and La Liga with Real Madrid.

At Manchester United, the ‘special one’ won the Europa League and the League Cup in his first season, and was beaten finalists in last season’s FA Cup, but his side were left languishing in 6th this season and he was sacked following a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in December.

However, Mourinho has now announced that he is ready for a return to the top and when questioned about it, he did not rule out taking on a Ligue 1 job. “it’s difficult to say. If I said no, I would not be being honest with you. If I say yes, you are going to start to speculate” Mourinho was originally linked with a spectacular return to Real Madrid after Solari was sacked, but the Spanish giants instead opted for Zinedine Zidane.
