Valencia coach Ruben Baraja can understand the pressure Xavi is under at Barcelona.
Xavi has reversed his retirement decision this past week.
Ahead of today’s clash, Baraja said: “I wouldn’t know how to answer you. When you are a coach and a coach like Xavi, there are emotions that you are not able to control.
“That will have had an influence on the decisions he has made. You know the pressure to which you submit. He has the responsibility and the ability to make a decision. If he continues it is because he sees the club’s project and support.
“And really, despite the lack of titles, it is important to consolidate a project. But I am speaking from 350 kilometres away. Only he knows what he does. It means coaching Barça. I understand any decision he makes and I consider him capable of making the best decision.”
