Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has explained calling up Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi.
The 17 year-old has earned a first call to La Roja today.
De a Fuente said: “We all leave no doubt about the footballer he is, about his quality.
“It doesn’t surprise us that much, but it may surprise the public that hasn’t seen that much of him. We don’t look at the ID card, just the performance. Let there be no doubt that the only interest that moves us to call a player is sports.
“We bring the players who can make us win. We believe that the best are coming. Pau is in a great moment, and he gives us great hope for the present and future.”
