Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski admits he feels for coach Xavi.
Xavi will step down at the end of the season after a difficult campaign.
Lewandowski told club media: “Xavi will be our coach until the end of the season and for us it is very important to be focused to be able to do our job.
“I understand that for Xavi it has been a difficult stage and that it has been very emotional. He has been a former Barcelona player and is Barça coach.
“It is very difficult for Xavi because he is a very emotional person as well. For him, Barcelona is more than a club. I understand that it must not be easy for his family either. We have to play together, go in the same direction and win games.”
The Pole also said: “I have been at Barça for a year and a half and I feel very good. I have won and I have scored many goals. I am very, very happy and very content. At this moment, including me, we have to score more goals and win more games.
“We are at a time where we can not only win, but also play better. Now we have important games and I hope we go from victory to victory.”
