Bayern Munich have released a statement after comments from coach Thomas Tuchel relating to the Barcelona job.
Tuchel is being linked with Barca after Xavi announced on Saturday he would be stepping down at the end of the season.
The German stated on Sunday: “Moving abroad would attract me again. Spain has an extraordinary league.”
However this morning, Bayern declared: “On Sunday, during a visit to a fan club, our fans asked about his coaching career and his past experiences abroad, at PSG and Chelsea. He also answered general questions from fans about Spain as a football country.
“He never spoke about Xavi Hernández and his successor, as was falsely stated later.”
