More detail of Barcelona coach Xavi’s halftime blast during the win against Almeria has emerged.
Xavi accused his players of “lacking soul” after the 3-2 victory.
AS reports at halftime, with the score at 1-1, Xavi turned on his players over their lack effort, particularly Robert Lewandowski.
“It can’t be! It can’t be! I want you to run like pigs!” Xavi was heard shouting from the home dressing room before turning on Lewandowski.
“Let’s see if you start running a damn time!” shouted Xavi.
Barca eventually won 3-2.
Afterwards, Xavi admitted: “It was the hardest (halftime) talk I’ve given as a coach.”
