Barcelona coach Xavi was delighted with Joao Felix‘s performance for victory over Atletico Madrid.
Felix is on-loan at Barca from Atletico and proved the matchwinner on Sunday.
Xavi said, “I am very happy. It has been a very complete match. Except for the last minutes where we could be tied, but this is football. It is a very important week, the classification to the Champions League gave us peace of mind. This is the way to go. The defensive line was very good, an extra motivated Joao Félix … I have very good feelings today.
“I have not seen the celebration but the goal … It makes a difference. He has been emptied working a lot, recovering balls, that flank is very well understood with Cancelo. Very happy for him. I see him happy and today makes a difference. I told him to be calm because this extra motivation can give him a bad feeling. He has made a great game.
