Barcelona worried as banks could call in loans over Negreira Case

Barcelona are becoming increasingly concerned over the ramifications if they’re found guilty in the Negreira Case.

That’s according to Okdiario’s chief pundit Eduardo Inda, when speaking on El Chiringuito.

Inda states funding for the redevelopment of the Nou Camp could be withdrawn if a guilty verdict of bribery is handed down.

“Barça’s fear is that there is a very big scare if there is a conviction for the Negreira case,” said Inda. “It worries in Barça. In case there was a criminal conviction in the Negreira case, it looks like there will be.

“Three presidents of Barcelona are charged with bribery. Goldman Sachs has a clause that would allow them to demand the repayment of all debt that Barça has contracted with the US entity in the act.

“Chills are coming in at Can Barça, especially, since Judge Aguirre accused (president Joan) Laporta. Remember that between JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs they gave Barça a loan of 1,500 million, which is not a small figure. That money is not returned in 24 months. That was quite a few years. Goldman Sachs would demand immediate return and interest would be 6%.”
