Barcelona coach Xavi says there’ll be no underestimating Champions League opponents Shakhtar Donetsk.
Xavi recognises Shakhtar have struggled with their match preparations.
But he insists: “For us it is a vital match. They are key points to move from a group.
“We have a difficult, dynamic, strong, and technically well-endowed rival. They play without fear, they go ahead without problems. We are warned: if we think it will be easy we will have to lose.”
On their injured, Xavi said: “They are not one hundred percent and that is why they are not on the list. The evolutions and the sensations will tell us: I am still optimistic that someone will reach the Clasico. Nothing has changed.”
On Pedri, he added: “There has been no going back. The sensations are what they are, what the player marks. What we try to avoid is a relapse, that’s why we go with lead feet. it is in the ‘timing’ that we think is convenient.”
