Las Palmas has surprised by announcing the renewal of the coach for one more season.
After achieving promotion, former Barca Atletic coach García Pimienta has Las Palmas placed in mid-table. The wins against Celta and Villarreal have greatly reinforced confidence in the coach.
This decision has drawn attention, as Las Palmas‘ policy regarding coaches was to sign year after year.
However, this new deal to the end of the 2024/2025 season is viewed as the board backing the coach amid some tension inside the dressing room regarding veteran Jonathan Viera.
