Barcelona want to keep hold of Joao Felix next season.
Felix is currently on-loan at Barca from Atletico Madrid for the season, without a permanent option.
But Sport says Barca have already seen enough and want to extend Felix’s stay.
Barca would prefer a new loan arrangement, though know Atletico would prefer an outright sale as they prepare for negotiations to kickoff.
Barca upgraded Felix’s salary from €400,000 to €4m last week after Financial Fair Play restrictions were eased as they sought to reward the player for his form.
A Barca source said: “We have the whole season to prepare a proposal that allows us to keep Joao Félix. We are very happy with his performance and he is a player who is well-liked in all areas of the club.”
