Barcelona have increased Joao Felix‘s salary ten-fold this week.
Currently on-loan at Barca from Atletico Madrid, Felix agreed to join the Catalans for a salary of €400,000.
The Portugal international agreed to the major cut due to Barca’s financial issues.
However, with Barca now in a better financial position – and given Felix’s superb season start – the Catalans have agreed to up Felix’s pay to €4m.
The new terms gets Felix closer to what he had been earning with Atletico and hands the striker a reward for his early form.
