Enric Masip feels the Barcelona coach Xavi should wait for his new contract.
Masip acts as advisor to Barca president Joan Laporta and feels there’s greater priorities than Xavi’s current contract status.
He told Marca: “It’s remained in the background, because during the summer the most important thing was to register the players.”
On Joao Felix‘s arrival from Atletico Madrid, Masip continued: “The player is surprising when he says he only wants to play for Barça.
“Given the composition of the squad, something had to happen for him to arrive. There were Ferran, Ansu… Joao Felix‘s salary is paid almost entirely by Atlético. It’s ridiculous what Barça pays for him.”
