Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has left Morocco’s national squad today.
The 26-year-old is in demand this summer, with a host of European clubs chasing his signature.
The Manchester United and Barcelona target may be close to securing his next team, with his national coach admitting transfer speculation was a factor in his departure from the Morocco squad.
Morocco manager Walid Regragui told reporters: “I decided to let him go.
“He’s played a lot of games this year, I wouldn’t want to risk that, especially as he’ll be signing for a new club soon.”
Amrabat was involved in his nation’s 0-0 draw with Cape Verde, but did not play the AFCON qualifier against South Africa.
