Lewandowski delighted with first Barcelona season: This title very, very important

Robert Lewandowski is pleased with his first season at Barcelona.

The summer signing from Bayern Munich has scored 29 goals and provided seven assists in 41 competitive games in a Barça shirt so far.

“My first year at Barça? I see it very well. I am very happy. We have a good chance to win the league and this title would be very, very important for the club. It is a process that is still ongoing, but we are on the right track,” says the 34-year-old to Ran Sport.

“We have many young players who have not won any major titles and for them it could be the next step in their development.

“I am really happy with the direction we are going with Barça. We have a lot of potential despite the problems we have had at the club. Now we are on the right track and I hope it will be even better.

“If we had played the group stage in the Champions League three months later, we would have been more ready than before the World Cup break. Therefore, I naturally hope that next season will be better.”
