Barcelona coach Xavi knows fans would love it if they win the LaLiga and Real Madrid finish the season trophyless.
Real meet Osasuna in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday before also facing Manchester City in the Champions League semifinal.
Asked if Barca fans will enjoy winning the LaLiga title more should Real Madrid finish with nothing, Xavi said: “Barcelona fans yes, the fan surely yes. We, inside, will value the LaLiga in the same way regardless of whether Madrid win the Copa or the Champions League.
“No (winning the LaLiga will not be a miracle), because we have made great signings. But it has a lot of merit. We have already taken a Supercopa from Madrid. That already had merit.
“We are in a construction process even if they don’t want to hear it. We build winning, of course. But it has a lot of merit.”
He added: “For me Manchester City is the best team in the world and has the best coach. For us, City is a mirror.”
