Barcelona cleared to play in next season’s Champions League

Barcelona have been cleared to play in next season’s Champions League.

There were claims UEFA would block Barca due to the investigation into the Negreira Case.

However, Mundo Deportivo says Barca will be granted a licence for next season’s competition.

Local prosecutors have charged Barca with corruption over alleged payments made to the then vice-president of the Spanish referees’ committee.

UEFA have since launched their own investigation into the claims, although they have not found any reason to punish the club yet.
