Barcelona have stepped up new contract talks with Aleix Garrido.
The youngster made his debut in victory at Elche last week.
Mundo Deportivo says Barça sources have stated talks are on the right track, although their entourage limited themselves to commenting that they are “in contact”.
At the Camp Nou they are very confident in his progression and consider Garrido a player for the future. The intention is to extend a contract until at least 2026.
A right-sided midfielder born in Ripoll (Girona), Garrido has shared all the midfield positions with Gavi since their junior days.
