Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois admitted frustration after their Copa del Rey semifinal first-leg defeat to Barcelona.
Barca return to the Nou Camp with a 1-0 lead thanks to Eder Militao‘s own goal.
Courtois later said: “We dominated the game but they held onto the result well. The goal went against us, it was really bad luck, first they win it back, then the deflection of Militão and it ends up in the net. They’ve won but perhaps they didn’t deserve to.
“We struggled to create chances and get shots on goal. It was a good performance in terms of control but we didn’t find a chance to get the goal. The final pass was missing. They defended very well, they’re conceding very few goals in LaLiga and that’s impressive. We have to try and win it in the second leg.
“When you don’t win against Barça it’s always a bad result. We wanted to win today, especially at home, but this won’t have an impact on the second leg, nor on the league. We have to win our game on Sunday and we’ll see where we’re at after those three games.”
