Barcelona hold trump card to beat Spurs to Sporting CP fullback Pedro Porro

Barcelona are eyeing Sporting CP fullback Pedro Porro.

Record says Barça have contacted the Portuguese team to ask for a price without making, for now, any official offer. Atlético Madrid are also keen.

Porro will almost certainly leave Portugal this summer and negotiations with Tottenham are already advanced. The English club are close to reaching an agreement with the player, but refuse to pay the 45 million euro buyout fee. Sporting have been inflexible but everything indicates that finally there could be a reduction.

Barça have a very good relationship with Sporting and this summer they should receive 7 million euros for the purchase of Francisco Trincao. In this operation, the Blaugrana would reserve a repurchase option of between 20 and 25 million euros.

Barça would be willing to give up this option if Porro came at a good price — the real valuation of the right-back is just over 20 million euros.
