Barcelona coach Xavi has announced Marc-Andre ter Stegen as a fourth captain.
Gerard Pique left Barcelona and with his departure, there was a space among the captains.
Xavi was asked about the new fourth captain during his press conference against Espanyol and said that the decision had been made.
“The fourth captain was chosen this week, it will be Ter Stegen for his veteran status and trajectory at the club,” said the coach.
The captains are now Sergio Busquets, Sergi Roberto, Jordi Alba and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
