Barcelona president Joan Laporta admits being eliminated from the Champions League was a major blow.
Laporta did not hesitate to describe the elimination in the Champions League as “a blow”, although he did want to show optimism with the performance of the team coached by Xavi in LaLiga, a competition that Barça lead.
“The Champions League exit was a blow,” he said. “It hit us hard. We had just recovered some joy and were doing well but the Champions League was a blow.
“We have survived it, though, because our priority is LaLiga. We want LaLiga. We need to win trophies. We have the best coach in the world.
“In addition to his knowledge of the game, which is very deep, it’s always interesting to listen to him. He is aligned with the club. It’s great to have a coach like Xavi.”
