The Argentina team that won the World Cup were forced to abandon their open-top bus parade due to a security incident.
The team was taking a tour around Buenos Aires, greeting fans on the streets and parading the World Cup trophy.
However, when two people attempted to jump into their vehicle, the players had to flee the open-top bus.
Two fans had attempted to jump off a bridge and onto the bus, with one person making it safely, while the other landed headfirst onto the ground.
AFA president Claudio Tapia apologised on Twitter for the incident, which disrupted the parade.
“They don’t let us get to greet all the people who were at the Obelisk, the same Security agencies that escorted us, don’t allow us to move forward. A thousand apologies on behalf of all the Champion players. A pity,” Tapia wrote on Twitter.
