Barcelona coach Xavi has named Olympiakos midfielder James Rodriguez as one of four players he’d like to have played with.
Xavi named Claudio Bravo (Real Sociedad – Chile), Rafa Márquez (FC Barcelona – Mexico), Diego Forlán (Atlético de Madrid-Uruguay) and James Rodríguez (Real Madrid CF – Colombia) as the four players he’d select in a five-a-side team.
Discussing why he rated James so highly, Xavi explained: “He always showed quality and talent to make a difference.”
Xavi also highlighted James’ ability to score “tremendous goals from short or long distance” thanks to his “privileged left foot” and lamented because “he played for Real Madrid CF and didn’t with FC Barcelona“.
James now plays in Greece for Olympiakos.
