AS Roma are in talks for Barcelona striker Memphis Depay.
Sport says Roma are working hard to sign Depay in January. The Italian club have been in contact with the player’s camp and the Catalan club to try and reach an agreement, according to Leggo.it.
Coach Jose Mourinho has asked for the arrival of Memphis to help his team in front of goal in the second half of the season. Roma made a big effort in the market in the summer to bring in the likes of Gini Wijnaldum, currently injured, and Paulo Dybala and now want to add the Barça attacker.
For now, Barça are asking for around €2 million for Memphis, although Roma want him on a free transfer or loan, as his Barça contract expires in June. There are also problems relating to Memphis’ financial demands, although Roma are pushing ahead with talks with his agents.
