Barcelona are ready to make a new pitch to Sergi Busquets about a new deal after the World Cup.
The club captain is currently with Spain in Qatar and has intimated he plans to leave Barca this summer.
However, Mundo Deportivo says Barca will make a new attempt to convince Busquets to stay on after the Qatar tournament.
The plan is to open talks with Busquets about a wage reduction, but also the option to extend his deal a further 12 months.
The midfielder’s current contract will expire in June.
